Senior/Junior Scientist – Ultrafast X-ray Science 🔬 Are you ready to push the boundaries of ultrafast X-ray science and develop new experimental capabilities using laser-driven plasma sources? Join the Department for Structural Dynamics at ELI Beamlines and work on cutting-edge X-ray diffraction and scattering experiments. You’ll have the opportunity to lead user activities, develop new techniques and collaborate with researchers internationally. What will you do? • Lead user activities at the X-ray diffraction/scattering end-station • Develop new capabilities for time-resolved X-ray experiments • Work with ultrafast lasers and laser-driven plasma X-ray sources • Contribute to X-ray diffraction and scattering research • Collaborate on national and international research projects What are we looking for? • PhD in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field • Experience with ultrashort-pulse lasers and X-ray methods • Experience with laser-driven plasma X-ray sources • Expertise in materials science and/or chemistry • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and teamwork skills What we offer • Cutting-edge international research environment • Flexible working hours • Career growth and professional development • 5 weeks of vacation + 6 personal days https://www.eli-beams.eu/cs/
