PhD Student – Radiobiological Studies of Laser-Driven Beams 🧬⚡ Are you interested in exploring how cutting-edge laser-driven radiation interacts with biological systems? Join ELI Beamlines and work at the intersection of physics, biology and advanced laser technologies. Gain hands-on experience with radiobiological experiments and contribute to research using conventional and laser-driven ion beams. What will you do? • Study cell culture radiosensitivity using laser-driven radiation sources • Prepare and handle biological samples in the RadioBioLab • Support radiobiology experiments at ELI Beamlines • Work with conventional and laser-driven ion beams • Contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations What are we looking for? • MSc. in Physics, Medical Physics, Nuclear Chemistry, Radiobiology or a related field • Background in ionizing radiation, dosimetry or radiation–matter interaction • Interest in interdisciplinary research • Proactive, independent and team-oriented approach • Proficiency in English What we offer • PhD position at 0.6 FTE • Hands-on experience in a unique scientific environment • Work with world-class high-power laser facilities • Involvement in cutting-edge R&D projects • Professional development and flexible working hours • 5 weeks of vacation + 6 personal days https://www.eli-beams.eu/cs/
